Mission & Vision
To cultivate rigorous, contextual Pentecostal scholarship that serves the Caribbean church and its diaspora — convening scholars, ministers, and students in bilingual dialogue, publication, and formation.
The following mission and vision statements of the Society for Caribbean Pentecostal Theology were approved by the Governing Board in 2026.
Our Vision
A voice heard globally
A Caribbean theological community whose Pentecostal voice is heard globally — where scholarship and Spirit-filled practice strengthen one another across languages, islands, and generations.

Rigorous & Contextual
We pursue scholarship that meets the highest academic standards while staying rooted in the lived realities of Caribbean Pentecostal communities — their histories, movements, and futures.
Scholarship & Practice
Pentecostal theology is not only studied but lived. The Society holds rigorous research and Spirit-filled practice together, so that each strengthens and informs the other.
Bilingual & Dialogue
English and Spanish are both home languages here. Conferences, publications, and conversations move between the two, welcoming scholars, ministers, and students across the archipelago.
Caribbean & Diaspora
From the islands to the communities formed beyond them, the Society serves the whole Caribbean church and amplifies its voice in global theological conversation.
By the Numbers
Join the Society
Scholars, ministers, and graduate researchers are invited to join a bilingual community advancing Pentecostal theology in the Caribbean.
