Frederick X. Rodríguez-Castro

Biography

Frederick Xavier Rodríguez-Castro is a researcher, theologian, historian, and author specializing in historical, biblical, and theological topics. He holds a bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on the History of the Americas and Europe from the University of Puerto Rico, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Theology at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico (UIPR). Rodríguez-Castro earned a Master's degree in Biblical Studies from the San Dámaso Ecclesiastical University in Madrid, Spain, as well as a Master's degree in Curriculum and History. His postgraduate training includes coursework at the Center for Advanced Studies on Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, a Diploma in Religious Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and graduate studies in Bible, Religion, and Islam at the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico. In recognition of his academic excellence in theology, Rodríguez-Castro received the Miguel A. Limardo Award from UIPR's Department of Theology in 2024. He is the author of Espejos de fe, espejismos de religión: Creer y cuestionar desde una teología latinoamericana (2025) and has presented his research at international theology conferences across Mexico, Cuba, Chile, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Colombia. He is the treasurer, co-founder, and key organizer leader of the Society for Caribbean Pentecostal Theology (SCPT).
